Community Fundraising Guidelines – Online
Thank you for choosing to fundraise for St Bart’s. Your support helps us work towards our vision: a world where everyone has a home. Together, we can empower people to create the future they want for tomorrow.
By registering an online fundraising page, you are agreeing to the following guidelines.
1. Your Fundraising Activity

Once you register online, you are automatically issued an Authority to Fundraise for St Bart’s under Western Australian fundraising legislation.

You are responsible for ensuring your fundraising activity complies with WA fundraising laws and any other local regulations (for example, permits for raffles, liquor licensing, or use of public spaces).

2. Donations and Receipts

All donations of $2 or more made online through your fundraising page are automatically receipted to the donor with a tax-deductible receipt.

If you collect offline donations (e.g. cash or EFT at an event), you must record the donor’s details and provide them to St Bart’s so we can issue an official receipt. We encourage directing supporters to donate online wherever possible.

Online fundraising platforms automatically transfer funds raised directly to St Bart’s—there is no need for you to bank funds or manage transfers.

If you have collected offline donations, please forward them to St Bart’s within four weeks of your fundraising activity concluding. Banking details and instructions will be provided on request.
5. Expenses and Record-Keeping

You are responsible for any costs associated with running your fundraiser. St Bart’s cannot reimburse expenses.

Necessary expenses may be deducted from proceeds provided they are reasonable and documented. We recommend expenses do not exceed 30% of funds raised.

Please keep records of all income and expenditure, and provide a summary to St Bart’s after your activity if requested.
