What is the Tunnel of Light?

As part of Light the Way, St Bart’s in collaboration with our media partner Channel 9 and our tunnel partner ICS Group are creating a powerful tunnel of light art installation that serves as both a symbol of hope and a reminder that homelessness can affect anyone.

The tunnel combines light, reflection, and perspective — with mirrors creating a striking light-scape that immerses visitors in the experience. As people walk through, they are reminded that homelessness is not distant or abstract, but something that could touch the lives of friends, colleagues, or even themselves.

This installation shines a light on the truth that homelessness is not a choice, but the result of complex circumstances, while offering a pathway of light, hope, and shared humanity.
